Teachers Needed

Chisholm Academy is a private school in Oakville for students in grades 7 through 12 who have a history of academic difficulties. Students do not exhibit primary behavioural issues but may have learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety disorders, or have experienced life situations that have made it difficult for them to be successful in school. Some Chisholm Academy differentiators include:

* An average of 8-10 students per class

* Exceptional IEPs for every student with regular meetings being held to update and modify

* Modern facilities with a dedicated fibre optic Internet connection and extensive assistive technology

* Amazing staff!

The Academy is currently staffing for the September 2021 school year and is searching for Ontario College of Teachers certified individuals with a passion for special education and dynamic personalities. You should have spec ed training with the Ontario College of Teachers or, at a minimum, be willing to enrol in AQ courses which Chisholm Academy assists with financially. You should be eager to go the extra mile to get to know your students and their IEPs so that, as a school, we can work to get them on an equal playing field with all students in the province. The current needs include:

* Senior Elementary Generalist

* Intermediate/Senior Math

* Intermediate/Senior English

* Intermediate/Senior Drama

* Intermediate/Senior Physical Education
