Spring Arts Night 2025

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, students from all grades came together to showcase their outstanding artistic talents at Chisholm Academy’s Spring Arts Night! We started off the night with Mrs. Edwards’ Grade 10+11 Drama class’s adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Through wonderful performances, captivating costumes and amazing set pieces, this group of students transported us to another world as Alice went on a journey of self discovery and learned who she was and how to stand up to the Queen of Hearts!

Next up, our Grade 7+8 students presented the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet – but with a modern twist. With a hilarious dance sequence, modern lingo, and a tragic final scene, it was such an entertaining show with incredible student performances!

Then, one of our Grade 11 students, J.J.,  blew the audience away with his fantastic bass guitar skills in his rendition of “Locked Out of Heaven”. It’s been amazing to watch his skills develop over the years. Can’t wait for next year, J.J.!

For the final act, The Drama Club, directed by Mrs. Edwards and supported by Mrs. Moss presented, “TUSASHWANUS” – the play where everything goes wrong! This humorous play, set in Shakespearean times, was written by Mrs. Edwards’ sister, Katie Edwards, and kept us all on our toes. From actors with stage fright, to overactors, to missing costumes and props, to forgotten lines and stage directions – the play was a magnificent, catastrophic masterpiece that kept the audience laughing!

Additionally, stunning artwork by Chisholm students was displayed throughout the auditorium highlighting even more of Chisholm students’ talent. It was a spectacular night and we are so grateful for the staff, students, and Arts Night supporters who made this night an overwhelming and unforgettable success!
