Chisholm Academy Students and Staff Lace Up Hockey Skates

The joy of ice hockey has brought together a small but dedicated group of Chisholm hockey players for Wednesday after-school sessions at the Canlan Sports rinks on Cornwall Road in Oakville. Under the supervision of Ms. Edmonds, Ms. Laube and Mr. Tollefsrud, approximately 12 students have continued this beloved traditional club at Chisholm. Reflecting their passion for Canada’s iconic sport, the students show grit, passion and sportsmanship as they play friendly games. All abilities are welcome, and students with more hockey experience work cooperatively with relative newcomers to ensure everyone has a good time. A number of parents attend to view their children play, and all players are picked up by their parents at the end of each session. This year’s sessions are running from late January to early April. Other teachers, including Ms. Moss, Ms. Edwards, Ms. Chambers and Mr. Pommier, have assisted the Chisholm Hockey Club by supervising or transporting students and their hockey gear to the arena. A combined current and alumni hockey game is planned for the February 26 session.
