SCIENCE TRIP TO ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDENS

On September 26th, Chisholm Academy’s Grade 9 and 10 students spent an exciting day at the Royal Botanical Gardens, where they participated in Wetland Interactions and Terrestrial Ecosystem Studies. Students had an opportunity to test water quality and oxygen concentration in the marsh. They collected water from the marsh to identify some of the organisms like mayfly larvae, dragonfly larvae, tadpoles, snails, catfish and many others. Students hiked through the beautiful gardens and forests at RBG. This was a great opportunity for students to learn about the effect of human activities on ecosystems around us.
