Pink Shirt Day

February 26 marked the Canada-wide anti-bullying initiative: Pink Shirt Day. Chisholm Academy’s Pink Shirt Day event took place on February 28. Led by Ms. Gilbert’s Communications and Technology class and the ME to WE team, students started their day with a fluffy pancake breakfast, a video presentation spotlighting some of Chisholm’s own and a school-wide game of Kahoot! The assembly ended with the symbolic signing of a poster to put a stop to bullying. What really made the day special was seeing everyone rocking their pink gear! Pink Shirt Day was organized as a Nova Scotian high-school event to wear pink in solidarity with a Grade 9 boy who was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Thank you all for participating in another successful Pink Shirt Day!
