WE Day 2019

Early Thursday, September 19, 12 students and three staff members beat the sunrise to downtown Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena for the annual WE Day! Everyone donned blue in order and rocked cool jewels (to improve our chances of being captured on live television!).

The day was jam-packed with performances and inspirational talks by change-makers like Rupi Kaur, David Suzuki, Sarah McLachlan, Superfan Navi Bhatia, Chief Reina Foster and Oakville’s very own, Aiden Lee. There was a perfect balance of party (music by the Celebrity Marauders, SonReal and James Arthur) and motivation to “get doing” and make a difference!

Chisholm Academy has participated in many events for ME to We throughout the years: WE Scare Hunger, WE Are Rafikis, WE Walk for Water and much more. This year’s WE Day was an opportunity to celebrate our many accomplishments and gear up for another school year of giving back!
