Chisholm Visits the ROM

On Wednesday, May 1, the Grade 6, 7 and 8’s went to the Royal Ontario Museum to learn about Canadian History. The Grade 6 and 7 classes learned about the Canadian Fur Trade and the War of 1812. While the Grade 8 learned about Canada after confederation. Each group took part in their own workshop that connected to learning.

During the workshops, we had a chance to look at and feel real artifacts from our Canadian history! We explored the artifacts and learned of their purpose during that time period. After lunch, the whole group was able to explore the different exhibits around the museum together. Overall, the day was an enjoyable and exciting one for all!
