The Art Gallery of Burlington

On October 30, the Grade 7, 10 and 11 Art Classes had a wonderful day trip to The Art Gallery of Burlington for a day of hands-on 3D studio Art. For half the day, students engaged in the creation of clay wild cat decorative masks suited for wall hanging. During the second half of the day, students extended their drawing skills in the art of metal embossing. The AGB fired the wild cat clay masks for our students. One week later, our students painted their masks in the colours and patterns of their own choosing. These masks are currently on display in the hallway at Chisholm. This was an exciting day for our students who enjoyed the opportunity to try out their skills in a larger studio setting.
