Back to School at Chisholm

We are just over three weeks into the 2018-2019 school year and Chisholm burst into action after the summer holidays!

With a record-breaking 40+ students attending New Student Orientation on September 5, the newest members of the Chisholm family were welcomed by Student Ambassadors and teachers. The day was filled with tours, games, icebreakers, a pizza lunch, flag football, soccer and basketball, and even a scavenger hunt that led to building your own ice cream sundaes!

As we have gotten into the groove of a new school year, students are fully embracing the new and engaging courses and activities taking place. Chisholm is home to a new computer lab which offers Computer Engineering and Computer Science classes for high school credits – it even houses the new Robotics Club! We’ve got knitting and cake-decorating, as well as intramural sports – I hear Mr. Crapsi is playing soccer alongside a team of students from grade 7 through to 12! I wonder who will win the cup! Students can also join Movie Club, Games Club, Chess, Debate and Art; the list really goes on! Make sure to keep an ear out for the upcoming Guitar Club.

The Me to We Club has already made an impact by attending the 2018 We Day at Scotiabank Arena! Students are currently banding together to raise money for the Terry Fox Walk on Friday, September 28; our goal is $2,500!

Chisholm is a mighty school and with only a few weeks in, we’ve already hit the ground running!
