Anonymous: Chisholm Academy on Stage at the National Theatre School Drama Festival
On Tuesday February 27th 2018, Chisholm Academy competed at the National Theatre School Drama Festival. Performing the play, Anonymous by Allison Green, the four member cast performed a moving show which received an excellent adjudication and earned two acting awards.
Kayla Ferrin, Chisholm Academy Drama teacher and director of the production said, “Proud isn’t even a big enough word to describe how I feel about these 4 students. I can’t explain the feeling I get when I am standing in the wings watching them perform such a beautiful show so effortlessly. Their devotion to this production was nothing short of extraordinary. They came to school on Saturday’s, stayed after school for hours of rehearsal, spent 12 hours together on the day of the show and never complained once. In the end we got countless laughs from the audience and did what we do best, perform a show with heart. You all make me the proudest teacher in the world. Thank you for that. Abigail, Katelyn, Miles and Gabe you stole the show.
My sincere thanks to Ms. Edmonds, Harrison and Ganesha for all their help – we couldn’t have done it without you. To all the staff that supported these kids by attending the show or purchasing tickets, it means the world to all of us.”
Congratulations to all the performers and Ms. Ferrin on an excellent show.
