Chisholm Community Scares Hunger in Oakville

Once again, the Chisholm Academy Community, led by the school’s Me to We team, fought to end hunger through the annual We Scare Hunger food drive. This year, grades were challenged to raise the highest total weight of food with their classes;  the teachers and staff also competed together to contribute to the food drive.

Competition among the grades was fierce this year as several classes competed to take home the title of Food Drive Champions.  It was a close battle, but in the end, the grade 12 class won the challenge by collecting over 145 pounds of food! The grade 11 class was a close second with 136 pounds of food and the Chisholm staff placed third with 104 pounds of food. Overall, thanks to the generous donations of our Chisholm Families, we collected over 617 pounds of food for the local Kerr Street Mission’s Food Bank.

This was a great opportunity for the Chisholm Community to work together to make a difference in our own local community. Thank you for your generous support of the 2017 food drive and Congratulations to our senior classes for their excellent leadership.
